There was a stabbing at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek and one student is in custody, the Mt. Diablo Unified School District confirmed to KRON4. The victim of the stabbing has been taken to a local hospital and her condition is unknown.
Both of the students involved were in the 9th grade and were acquaintances. The suspect is a male and the victim is a female. No other students were involved.
"My sister-in-law's kid's best friend was stabbed nine times yesterday at their school in Walnut Creek and is in stable condition. Stabbed by a boy with multiple previous incidents of bringing weapons to school and other discipline issues."
The stabber was white and the victim is a minority. They were not dating. The stabber has years of violent mental issues, concealed gun, death threats, fights.
